Job Description
Our client is a pace setter in providing advanced media and telecommunication services. With activities in 11 countries in Europe and over $2 billion in revenues it is one of the main players in the media-telecom industry. They are now looking to recruit Senior Manager Procurement who will be responsible for leading strategic procurement activities for various categories of spend, including Software, Professional Services, Human Resources and Marketing on a European basis, with the goal of achieving continuous cost reductions in the total cost of goods and services procured while maintaining or improving product quality and vendor service levels. Works closely with key stakeholders in corporate departments and European affiliates to develop and implement effective cost reduction strategies.
Main Responsibilities
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories - identify and prioritize procurement/sourcing projects within spend area. Set annual targets with the team and lead/participate in cross-functional teams in the development of sourcing strategies. Assess corporate/affiliate current and future needs, assess market trends and supply base; and establish and implement the sourcing plans, including communication to key stakeholders on overall process, timing and end products.
• Lead the process to select and manage vendors - lead the vendor selection and negotiation process; establishes and maintains contractual and business relationships with the vendors; monitors contract compliance; solves operational issues with vendors (e.g., quality, delivery and service issues) and adjusts sourcing strategies based on supplier performance and business unit input.
• Measure and track performance within each spend category and define budgetary impact - drive annual productivity improvements in each spend category, establish key performance measures for each spend category and track actual savings
• Monitor customer satisfaction - monitor satisfaction of corporate departments and affiliates with key suppliers and procurement support
• Provide expertise and drive best practices across all Company corporate departments/affiliates in the assigned spend categories - remain current with market trends through relationships with vendors and market experts; identify/define procurement best-practices and ensure that those best practices are widely adopted by Company’s corporate departments and affiliates.
• Provide assistance to Company’s acquisition strategies by completing the due diligence and integration activities for the spend categories - assess potential procurement opportunities in acquisition candidates; work with the integration team to integrate acquired companies into Company procurement strategies
• Provide guidance and coaching to staff – set targets and support team to achieve these. Provide on the job coaching and training where required and act as day-to-day escalation point for vendor related issues. Set planning and helps define priorities for team
Context/Environment
• Position based within the Strategic Procurement department, located in corporate offices in the Amsterdam region.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
• University degree
• Successful, multi-year track record in a procurement organization, with specific spend category experience (software, professional services) preferred; telco/broadband experience considered an advantage
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good planning/project management skills – able to lead teams in complex procurement projects
• Strong negotiating skills, good commercial contracting knowledge
• Able to gain a fact based understanding of current supplier base, supplier economics and major trends in relevant markets
• Strong communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
• Passion for reducing costs – exhibits high energy and the enthusiasm to find new savings opportunities
• Self starter and independent worker – able to juggle priorities
• Able to take the lead on implementation of savings opportunities

Working Relationships and Team Working
Internal:
• The Senior Manager Procurement provides strategic and tactical guidance for all procurement activities; ensuring objectives are consistent with overall Company’s objectives
• The Senior Manager Procurement will work closely and directly with Corporate Departments and their controlling staff as well as with affiliate Procurement teams
• Cooperation with other regions (Japan, Chile) required
• Close working relationships with Corporate legal and finance
External:
• Manages supplier portfolio of around 50-100 key suppliers

Job Description
The Assistant Controller Italy assists the Controller?Italy in all aspects of the financial process of the country entity.
Assists in all General accounting activities e.g.:
* Assists in maintaining and reconciling the G/L accounts on a daily basis;
* Assists with month end closing entries to G/L;
* Suppliers management info (update master file, payments preparation)
* Assists in the management of accounting and financial reporting;
* Assists in reporting/ preparation of the INTRASTAT/ intercompany reports;
* Reviews all financial statements, reports, analysis etc.;
Helps to drive and implement new business tools and procedures tools that lead to continuous process improvement.
